Anne Elizabeth BULL (1879 - 1963)

Anne Elizabeth was born on 17 February 1879 at Haylands, Ryde, Isle of Wight to George BULL and Ann Rebecca VINCENT.

As a child she lived with her parents, first at St Augustine, Ashey Road, Ryde (1881 census) then at 35 Albert Street, Ryde (1891 & 1901 census).

In 1903 she was employed as a domestic cook when she gave birth to her first child - Dorothy Annie - the father is unknown.

On 11 October 1908 she married William James WILLIAMS at All Saints Parish Church, Ryde, Isle of Wight, a plumber employed by Langdon & Co, a builder in Ryde, who 'took on' her daughter Dorothy Annie and brought her up as his own.

With William she had three more children, between 1909 and 1914, before he died in 1918.

In about 1925 she and the children moved from Albert Street, Ryde to 79 Arthur Street, Ryde where she lived until about 1961 when she moved to Southsea, Hampshire to live with her daughter Elsie May 'Topsy' WILLIAMS for the rest of her life.

On 20 February 1927 she married her second husband, Alfred Charles 'Perk' PERKIS, a widower with two young daughters, at All Saints Parish Church, Ryde, Isle of Wight.

Anne Elizabeth died on 5 July 1963 at St Mary's House, Milton, Portsmouth of Myocardial Degeneration and Senility
